  Full of challenges and contradictions, the evolution of world-wide communication has experienced a very long and rough time. Many pioneers in computer science and communication make great efforts and contributions to the world network,which inspire us to continue to renew and optimaze the Internet.

  Many standards ,protocols and agreements are results of cooperation and compromise.In an era of information science and globalization, every country and nation should abandon the prototype,prejudice and hostility, and hold an open mind,thus maximazing the profits of the mankind.

Question1 :In what ways did the beginnings of the Web at CERN impact the its design?
 
  Nobody knows the importance of "www" in today's Internet age. "Www" is the abbreviation of World Wide Web, which is what we call the World Wide Web. However, few people know that it is also the product of CERN's "unintentional insertion of willows". Since CERN scientists come from nearly 100 countries and are almost scattered all over the world, how to communicate effectively and timely has undoubtedly become a difficult problem. CERN believes that it is necessary to establish a virtual communication space to meet the needs of information sharing among scientists everywhere. Then, on March 13, 1989, the software consultant of CERN submitted a plan to build an information management system in order to better manage the research information of the laboratory.

Q: Where might the web go in the future? In ten years time? In twenty five years time?


Thirty years ago, the modern web started with just one website. Now, building a website is a good way to share some information or provide goods and services. With the website you can connect with everyone because you don't need to use a specific social network account or download an additional mobile app. That's why despite the fierce evolution of our technology and electronics, the site is still the cornerstone of the contemporary Internet.

The web we have now is not stand still. The growth rate of the website is faster than the growth of the Internet population. Although the pioneers of the web and the early birds have been tossing encryption technology, machine learning, VR, AR, the Internet of Things, and various next-generation technologies and markets, the average user has just accepted the idea of the website. The web is going to change our world, and the world is also going to change the web.

Advantage:            

1. Facilitate data sharing.            

2. Provide a platform for communication.            

3. Improve efficiency.            

4. Provide a platform for netizens to display themselves.            

5. Play the role of leisure and entertainment.            

Disadvantages:            

1. It is easy to lead netizens to indulge in the network and affect their personal spiritual temperament.            

2. The credibility of network information is relatively low.            

3. The network narrows the circle of communication and widens the distance between you and the people around you.

In the future, the development of Internet will mainly focus on people's food, clothing, housing and transportation, and intelligent devices. Ten years later, the Internet will exist in every aspect of people's life, and then affect the economic and social development, which is an important symbol of human progress.

In my opinion, the Internet provides a platform for us to share information. It allows us to learn more knowledge, communicate with others more conveniently and improve our efficiency, which is his advantage. But the disadvantage is also obvious, it can't give us a safe private space, our privacy on the Internet may be leaked, and the information in the web is not reliable.
Through this study, I learned about the origin of the Web, its two-sidedness and its great contribution to the world. There is also a deeper
understanding of the web.

Q2.  What are the weaknesses and strengths of the Web as a technology?

A:  Recent developments in communication technology, particularly the World Wide Web, allow efficient dissemination and exchange of information.  
    For example, in the medical field, we can design a software for the identification of patients in a secure Web database, which contain the patient's demographic and preexisting medical information.  Information from further patient-physician interactions and procedures is also entered into this database.
    The advantage is obvious. The combination of a Web-based disease tracing system and a database has broad applications, particularly for the integration of clinical research within clinical practice and for the coordination of multicenter trials.   
    But there are still some weaknesses. We need to take some effort to ensure patient confidentiality and data security, the database need to includes all security measures required for electronic medical records.
    Obviously, the development of Web technology has more advantages than disadvantages.


Q4. What is the direction of Web evolution? What might the Web look like in ten years time?

A:  The phenomenal growth of the Web will lead to the development of many smart Web applications using artificial intelligence techniques. These applications range from access of information to automatic tasks on the Web, mainly in the areas of Web personalization, semantic Web and Web services.

Web personalized recommendation is a way to solve the problem of information overload in the era of Web2.0, which can improve our production and life efficiency. But at the same time, whether Web personalized recommendation should also solve the problem of user's information bias, help users broaden their horizons and improve their thinking?
