li Dr. Li Yuan, Founder, Strategy and Marketing

joined Cetis in 2008, after gaining her PhD in ICT in Education and working as a research fellow in the school of Education at Queen’s University of Belfast. As a Senior Researcher and Learning Technology Advisor, Li has been involved in supporting the UK OER programme, Jisc observatory project and the EU funded TEL-Map and Lace projects. Her main areas of interest are around investigating and understanding emerging technology and innovative practice in education and their impact on the future of higher education.

stephen Dr. Stephen Powell, Online Learning and Pedagogy

Stephen Powell is a Principal Lecturer in Centre for Excellence in Learning and Teaching of the Manchester Metropolitan University. He has worked as an educator for the past 20 years, initially as a teacher in the compulsory school sector, and then in Higher Education as a developer of online programmes. He has expertise in curriculum design and delivery and the organisation of teaching and assessment and has work extensively developing work-focussed approaches to learning. Current research interests include innovation and models of change in higher education.

Bill

Prof.Bill Olivier, Technology Innovation

Bill Olivier is a professor of Educational Technology at the University of Bolton and has over 25 years experience developing innovative software for education. He is a former Director for Systems and Technology in the Innovation Group at Jisc which funded a large ICT R&D programme for UK further and higher education. In that capacity, he directed the eResearch programme, ran the JISC side of the International e-Framework Programme, developed  the JISC Enterprise Architecture Programme and the Jisc Observatory. Bill was the co-founder of Cetis and co-director for seven years.

罗恒,在美国雪城大学教育学院获得教学设计开发与评估专业博士学位,曾任美国宾州州立大学达顿数字化教育中心副研究员,现任华中师范大学教育信息技术学院讲师,ETRD、IRRODL和IJDL等学术期刊审稿人。近年来的研究方向集中在数字化学习的有效策略和学习分析应用等领域。

Advisors

John Gardner is a Professor of education and Deputy Principal (Education and Students) at the University of Stirling. Professor Gardner is an expert in all sectors of education, particularly in relation to assessment and information technology. He is the co-author of the book “E-Learning: Concepts and Practice”. He is currently a member of the steering committee of the ESRC’s Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL) programme and a member of the ESRC’s Peer Review College. In 2011 Professor Gardner completed a two-year term of office as President of the British Educational Research Association (BERA).

Oleg Liber is an Emeritus Professor of e-Learning. Oleg was the co-founder and director of CETIS in the UK. He has been involved in pioneering work in learning technologies for over twenty five years, managing many projects researching and developing innovative technical systems, including distributed learning networks, multimedia databases, learning management systems, peer-to-peer collaborative learning environments (e.g. Colloquia) and tools for implementing eLearning standards (e.g. RELOAD).

Zhiting Zhuis a professor of educational technology and Vice Dean of Online Education College, East China Normal University. He is now also the Director of the Chinese e-Learning Technology Standardization Committee (CELTSC), a consultant for the National Project of Educational Resources, and a member of the Steering Committee for Teacher Education Informatization. He has played a significant role in e-Learning Technology Standards, Development of Web-Based Teacher Training Courses, Personalized e-Learning System, Theories and Practical Models of Educational Informatization, and Curriculum Paradigms in the Information Age in China.
Tony Bates is President and CEO of Tony Bates Associates Ltd, a private company specializing in consultancy and training in the planning and management of e-learning and distance education. He is also Distinguished Visiting Professor in the G. Raymond Chang School of Continuing Education, Ryerson University, Toronto and Executive Director, Research, Strategic Planning, and Information Technology at the Open Learning Agency of British Columbia.Prior to that, he was Professor of Educational Media Research at the British Open University, where he worked for 20 years as one of the founding members of staff.He is the author of twelve books, including his latest, a free, open online textbook for faculty and instructors, called Teaching in a Digital Age, It has been or is being translated into seven languages.He has been on the editorial board of six journals specializing in distance education and educational technology.
